First aid for burns
How to treat a burn?

All burns should be immediately cooled by placing them under cold running water or by submerging the burned part in cold water (tap or sea). The burnet area must be exposed to cold water at least for 10 minutes.
If clothing is stuck to the burn, it should be carefully removed. Do nothing to force it as it will cause further damage. After that the burned area should be covered with dry sterile or Vaseline gauze. Burns should not be covered by materials that shed since residual hairs will cause an inflammatory reaction.
In the case of severe burns, given the affected area and degree, and the possible shock, a doctor should be consulted by radio.
